Clifton Taylor leads Taylor Builders, a land development and investment company based in Roseville, CA. Clifton has two decades of real estate and asset management experience in Northern California. Since co-founding Taylor Builders, he has guided the growth of the company by making dynamic project acquisitions and developing an industry leading operating team.

Mr. Taylor has worked successfully with landowners, federal, state and local agencies on complex development projects throughout Northern California. With experience across multiple real estate sectors he brings a passion for community development through active stakeholder engagement. An often outspoken leader, Clifton is known for being an unconventional strategist willing to take personal risks.

He formerly led Richland Communities real estate division located in Roseville where he was responsible for the company’s Northern California assets in the Sacramento Region, Bay Area and San Joaquin Valley. In 2005, Clifton led a team that received a California Department of Conservation Director’s Award and San Joaquin Council of Governments Regional Excellence Award for his team’s work on the largest Williamson Act easement exchange in California’s history.

Prior to joining Richland, Clifton worked on entitlements and acquisitions for Centex Homes. He began his career as a planner for the County of Yuba, serving as Zoning Administrator and Secretary to the County Fish & Game Commission.

Mr. Taylor holds a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is active in the community, previously serving on the Board of Directors for the Tahoe Mountain Resorts Foundation the Sutter Roseville Medical Foundation Board and is also a founding member of the Urban Land Institute Young Leaders Group in Sacramento. Additionally, he is co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of the Lincoln Potters Baseball Club, LLC, a collegiate wood bat baseball organization located in Lincoln, CA.
